Dan Thompson - PainterBiography



Dan Thompson was born in Alexandria, Virginia. He has received grants and awards from foundations, colleges, and competitions, such as the American Portrait Society, which presented him with the 2001 Grand Prize for Best of Show in the International Portrait Competition, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Dan's work can be found in the collections of Forbes Magazine, New York, the University of Maryland, Baltimore, MD, Joh. Barth & Sohn, in Nuremburg, Germany, and in private collections throughout the United States, and as well as in Iran.
